Congratulations to all of the authors who have been paired with an editor for #p2p16! November means Thanksgiving for many of us, and I know this year brings plenty for lucky authors and their editors to be thankful for.
I saw an amazing quality to the entries that came my way over the past week, and those of you who did not get paired should know that this isn’t because your book isn’t good enough. I saw many books that were good enough; unfortunately, I only have time to work with one.
I want to continue supporting the amazing stories I had to pass on, so I’m offering the following goodies to #p2p16 entrants who are still interested in working with me on developing their stories. NOTE: some of these are different from March based on my current schedule.
These offers are good through February. If you’re looking for pre-holiday or early new year help, book soon! Spots fill up quickly.
Manuscript Critique Add-Ons
This offer is open to all #p2p16 entrants. If you purchase a full manuscript critique, I will include a complementary one-pass query critique and a 5-page edit with detailed suggestions for improving writing style and voice.
Partial MS Critiques
This offer is open to all #p2p16 entrants. I typically only perform critiques of full manuscripts since addressing overall plot & pacing is important to me. For contest entrants, however, I am offering a critique of your first 50 pages (up to 14k words) for a flat rate of $85. For a total of $120, I’ll also include a two-pass query critique and five-page line edit.
Query & Page Critiques
This offer is open to my #p2p16 entrants. For $50, I will provide a two-pass query critique and single-pass edit of your first five pages. I don’t usually offer query critiques, and the line edit alone is typically valued at $50, so if you want more in-depth feedback than the few lines I send in emails next week, this is your only chance to get this detailed feedback.
If you were on my shortlist (I read your partial), you’ll receive 15% off all services on the manuscript you subbed, including the add-ons mentioned above.
Remember, the offer is only good on services provided by the end of February. Don’t wait until spring to book–there might not be a spot left.
I received entries from some absolutely amazing writers, and I was sorry to only get to pick one for the month of November. I hope I can work with many more of you over the winter!
